How to Make Green/Hara Dhaniya chutney?

Dhaniya chutney recipe Green Chutney Recipe
Green Chutney made by me

Green/hara dhaniya Chutney is something almost everyone of us relish eating with our Indian snacks. Whether is is aloo samosa, bread pakoda, moong daal Cheela, pakoda platter or bread rolls, for me the plate is incomplete without the chatpati hara dhaniya chutney. I use to prepare it on weekends and store it in the fridge so that me and my husband can enjoy it with our tea time snacks. So I am posting today the recipe for it exactly the way I have learnt it from my  Mom.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup roughly chopped Hara dhaniya
  • 2 tomatoes chopped into big chunks
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/4th piece ginger (skin removed)
  • 5-6 mint leaves (if available)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dhaniya powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon saunf powder
  • a pinch on heeng
  • 1/4 teaspoon amchoor powder
  • 2-3 spoon curd
How to prepare:
  • Put all the ingredients in the chutney jar of the mixer grinder and mix well with the help of a spoon.
  • Close the jar tightly and grind on slow for few seconds. You can check after that, if chutney has chunks of tomatoes mix again with spoon and again grind for few seconds.
  • Make sure  the jar is only 3/4th filled. If the quantity is more grind the chutney in two batches and then mix together.
  • Chutney is ready, store it in the fridge for almost a week and enjoy with your snacks.
